@Stephan
Following comment #28, I have re-packaged linux-firmware package to
include the firmwares from the two upstreams:
[1]
https://people.canonical.com/~ypwong/lp1818881/linux-firmware_1.173.3test1_all.deb
[2]
I see you mentioned GeForce 1050Ti in your bug. The commit I posted above is
for GV100 "Volta". So the warning messages shouldn't affect you.
That said, it might be a good idea to add the relevant firmwares to Bionic.

We do not enable fingerprint reader for OEM projects. From what I see
this is more a lack of support in libfprint. There is someone who is
working on reverse engineering the protocol so that it works in
libfprint:

Pablo, do you mind opening a new bug for your problem? Need your
system's log files to see what's wrong and putting them in a new bug
will be easier to follow. Thanks.

Thanks TJ.
I've submitted the patch to upstream:
https://www.spinics.net/lists/platform-driver-x86/msg17872.html.

Thanks for verification. As to your question regarding linux-meta
(4.15.0.43.45), it is an older version and you can ignore that.

Before you boot into the test kernel in #20, please remove "options
snd-hda-intel model=mute-led-gpio" from /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf first.
If it works, I will send the proper fix to upstream so that you no longer need
to modify /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.

Please test the kernel in #20 so that I can send the proper fix to

HP ProBook 470 G5, LED's in Hotkeys f5, f8 and f11
Can you please download the kernel packages from
https://people.canonical.com/~ypwong/lp1811254/ and install them with 'dpkg -i
*.deb', reboot to this test kernel, and then see if it fixes your speaker and
mic mute LED problem?
I need time to fix the F11 LED at the moment.
