I installed 21.10 from the upgrade button on software update, unknown
why (no power loss, etc), but RYGEN is corrupt and I cannot reinstall
it, remove it, or remove its library files as sudo or su. I get a "too
many errors" message and it exits in the terminal.

There was no dump window present I could see when the error occurred (I
had walked away from the computer while it was updating) - if there was,
it closed itself and was not persistent on-screen for me to report
exactly what bug was present.
