Public bug reported: I installed 21.10 from the upgrade button on software update, unknown why (no power loss, etc), but RYGEN is corrupt and I cannot reinstall it, remove it, or remove its library files as sudo or su. I get a "too many errors" message and it exits in the terminal.
I'm not a newbee, but not an expert either. Yes, I've ventured into root as su - same issues as described above.... I tried reinstalling 21.10 from a DVD (I do not have a flash drive big enough) and it does not recognize the OS or filesystem on the HDD. Only gives me the option of erasing and starting over... which is not acceptable. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1948715 Title: Installed 21.10 from upgrade button on software update, unknown why (no power loss, etc), but RYGEN is corrupt and I cannot reinstall it, remove it, or remove its library files as sudo or su.
