On my Dell Vostro 3450 with i5 2410M Ubuntu can work over 4 hours
without any power supply. I just had to force ASPM to work and put echo
powersave /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy in /etc/rc.local. I
know it's an awful hack, but it works. Something should be done about
it. Battery
I don't understand why this bug is marked as triaged. Triaging means
that we know what is the cause of some bug. Currently we don't. And
it's not only supporting hybrid graphics, but at least running correctly
the fglrx correctly. Explanation, that we don't support blah-blah-
blah..., is no
The same for me. I installed via dpkg --install --force-all
cups_1.5.0-7_amd64.deb
and it seems that upstart can't start cups daemon. I run cups via cups -F
command
and cups work properly, and detect my printer. I can print.
My work-around is:
Uninstal cups
unpack package
move by hand files
When this patch will be applicable in oneiric? My Vostro 3450 eats whole
battery in 1.5h, and ASPM workaround doesn't work.
