It's Alt-^ (the key above the tabulator) in German Keyboard Layout. That
used to work in oneiric, but not in precise. I'll try Alt-` and/or

somehow got lost. I noticed because empathy would not start at all,

have the same issue that most programs won't start anymore. I'm back up
running using an older btrfs snapshot, but when I mount the updated
volume I can't even chroot into it and start bash.

(yes this also happens with a complete option
Please find attached the two patches I use. commit-b0e62dc removes the
deletion of pc-bios/*.bin, because they are shipped upstream and git-
buildpackage is unhappy when they are deleted in the clean target.
With those patches applied cleaning without dependencies works fine, but
I'm not sure

Since a couple of weeks (unfortunately I don't know when exactly) X
(Gnome with Composite enabled) is randomly freezing on my Karmic box.
SSH-Login is still possible, SysRq+K or sending a SIGKILL to Xorg does
not work. I have to reboot the system to get a graphical interface

I see this on karmic with both Thunderbird 2.0 (with very few
extensions) and with a clean (non-packaged, upstream) version of
Thunderbird 3.0b3 with a fresh profile.
Some GTK issue maybe?

The problem is fixed for me with 2.6.31-2.15, X is fast as usual again.
One can read in the changelog that radeon KMS was disabled in this
version.
I wonder why this affected me anyway, I have a R600 series chip which is
not supposed to get KMS just yet at all. The now committed KMS is only
up to
