Same here. One interesting thing is that I had skype running for a
couple of hours and then it suddenly crashed and I can not start it
anymore. It starts but after a couple of seconds it crashes with the
same error messages as worldmind mentioned above in reply #73.

It could be that I am hit by some other problem, but most of the
symptoms seem to be the same.
My experience is that Unity freezes even when Blank screen is selected as
screensaver.
Whenever the freeze hits I switch to a terminal with Ctrl-Alt-F1, log in and

I confirm this. All applications using the QT toolkit seem to render
fonts differently than the rest of the desktop (GNOME, GTK+ apps).
The fonts look to be bolder in QT apps compared to GTK+ apps.

Yes, I use the Ambiance theme.
The interesting thing is that this bug occurs on my laptop at home, but
not on my desktop system at work. Both are running Lucid 64bit, both
were upgraded from Karmic.
One thing that might have some significance is that on my laptop I was
trying out Gwibber before
I don't know if this is related or not, but here it goes anyway.
I have checked Start service on login, but it won't start no matter how many
reboots or logout-login cycles I do. Also, gwibber-service -d -o outputs
something similar to what Jochem posted (#9). No errors or warnings.

Every time I start Brasero, in the file browser sidepane is divided
equally between the places list and the file-list. It does not save
their manually adjusted widths.

Brasero doesn't remember the width of the places list in the sidepane

#3: I guess it has nothing to do with auto-logging. It has to do with
caching. When you log in the second time it is smoother because the
majority of the files needed are already loaded.
#4: It might have been slowed down by bootchart, but if Apple and
Microsoft can do it with Snow
Also, as can be seen in Igor's video, xsplash isn't running smoothly.
There are sudden jumps in the animation which degrade the user
experience a lot. The animation should be as smooth as it can, without
any frame-dropping occurring.

After today's updates (including the kernel and devicekit-disks, among
many other) my system no longer detects any DVD disks which are either
blank or have and UDF filesystem on it.

After today's update of the devicekit-disks package all mounted media
have a media-player icon. Before this all mounted storage had their
icons according to what type the device is. Optical disks had a CD or
DVD icon, USB flash drives also had their icons.

Brasero wouldn't let me rename files by pasting the new name

I occasionaly burn video files along with a subtitle file to a
rewritable dvd so that I can watch it using a DVD player. For the DVD
player to recognise and load the subtitle file it must be similarly
named. Only the extension must differ.

This should be fixed, because it is a longstanding bug, and because of
this I can only use Skype with pasuspender, which sucks. I read
somewhere that in Karmic this is fixed already, maybe we can have a
backport?

Can not connect to the Yahoo network neither with accounts imported from
Pidgin, neither newly created accounts. Even changing the server to
scsa.msg.yahoo.com, or the encoding from UTF-8 to anything else does not
help.
