Having very similar issues to carlossl.
Running Ubuntu 13.04, an EPSON LQ-1070+ (running the LQ-570+ drivers, which
work fine) and a QinHeng Electronics CH340S USB to parallel connector.
On a 12.04 machine I could use the printer with the regular parellel cable.
The only real difference is that

If I connect my Nokia Lumia 900 or start Banshee with the phone connected,
Banshee freezes and has really high CPU load.
Logfile attached (Testcase, reproducible: Plug in phone, start Banshee)
Note: I know WP7 and Ubuntu do not cooperate too well, but gMTP is able

Same here, Quantal-64.
All other webapps work, tried switching back to the old interface - no
effect. Perhaps this is due to the different URL (retro.grooveshark.com)
- very annoying as it was my favorite WebApp.

system (not too shabby) will nearly die.
That's because everything is transferred to Swap while Shotwell is loading and
until all this has unswapped the system is completely unusable.

broken http://askubuntu.com/questions/183601/cant-boot-no-grub-alloc-

I then started to reinstall grub from a live CD (more

Seems totally arbitrary to me, but at least for me it worked:
I read at AskUbuntu http://askubuntu.com/a/133537/71437 about this being
related to the USC. In fact since removing it I did not have a single
dark resume and I used to have it everytime. As said, this seems
completely arbitrary.

I just finish setting up a new LaserJet (Hardware info attached) and had some
trouble installing the binary driver.
Ubuntu itself didn't ask me to do so and just listed the driver as working -
but this is probably not a hplip-error.
I finally encountered the hp-setup

I simply can't start Nautilus anymore. Did tons of updates, restarted,

possible still are) in a rather bad state.
Anyhow VERY annoying, I don't have another filemanager, leaving me a
little .. crashed.

I did the update to Oneiric while still Beta, but recently I noticed that the

The bottom ones are active when not plugged in. If plugged in, none is active

So now I only need to know how to re-enable the top ones,
