I am not sure how to get the package information for this bug but I
cannot but from the Live CD 64b of Ubuntu 11.04.
The first thing showing is an Error: prefix not set and the the grub
loads (text mode). No splash screen.
After selecting either Try Ubuntu or Install, I can

Hello Everyone,
I am having this problem. It was working fine with Lucid when I did a fresh
install but after updating my system via update-manager stopped working. At
this point, I don't know what went wrong.

triend using a Lucid Live CD and it did not worked. I booted into

I was able to make it work. I guess it was not an Ubuntu issue.
I went into my router configuration and I changed the 2.4Ghz Channel
from Auto to Channel 3 (I guess you can see which one works best for
you). After performing this change my WUSB54G started to work again.

I have to mention that this printer was working fine with ubuntu 9.04.
It stopped working when I did a fresh install on ubuntu 9.10 and I was
hoping that ubuntu 10.04 will be able to use the printer.

I second Paul but with the Ubuntu distro...
Ubuntu Jaunty was working flawless with my printer. When Karmic appeared it
stopped working at all... and continue with Lucid... something changed that's
for sure... =(

As Ian mentioned. I confirmed this issue also in 10.04
when I execute the command lsusb I can see my Samsung ML-6060 detected by
Ubuntu but I had unsuccessful results with CUPS when I tried to add a new
printer. Basically there is no option for USB devices.
Any thoughts!?

Thanks for your reply.
I have an update that may allow you to replicate the issue. I noticed
that one of the sheets had on a cell a small mark that when I click on
it, a gray Anchor icon appears. After deleting this Anchor I was
able to open the file in Karmic without any issues.

I can also confirm this bug. I am using 8.10 64 bits on a i386 machine.
For some unknown reasons flash content stops working on firefox. The
only way I've found to make it work is by restarting the application.

I had the issue posted in the first messager from this bug. After doing
update-apt-xapian-index I was able to find the skype package using the
Quick Search feature. I suggest that after adding a new PPA the system
should run this command (update-apt-xapian-index) immediately after the
addition.
