What I have noticed is that when two screens are plugged in the graphic card,
and the desktop appears on both screen, and when I then choose to only use the
dvi-connected screen via the "display" menu in ubuntu, the vga-connected screen
goes off, and the dvi-connected screen only show the mouse

eXcuvator, there is another workaround. Reinstall app-menu-qt5, and launch
texmaker (for example in a terminal) with :
env UBUNTU_MENUPROXY= texmaker
This will disable the global menu in texmaker, the menu being now within the

First, I blacklisted the module wistron_btns in the grub (by adding
"modprobe.blacklist=wistron_btns" at the end of the "linux" line) to be

The real issue here is that sudo looks into DNS before hostname.
In /etc/nsswitch.conf, we had on trusty:

Same problem for me, not with akonadi, simply by installing mysql.
mysqld uses approximately 130Mb at startup and goes up to 806 Mb adter
10 minutes, without any server process running.
Any workaround yet ?
