@physe I have done it so that the left part of the mic is fully muted and the right is at 30%. This gave kind of optimal sound, but quality is still not so good. I have attached a picture with my settings (Sorry, it's in hungarian :) ). @Marius I have had the same problem with the update

Hi All, http://www.alsa-project.org is dead, I can't reach it for the past two days. Since the last package didn't fix it for me I would like to try the solution suggested in post 33: - The loud speakers of my 5830TG are working thanks to the HDAAnalyzer tool :

Hi David, I have tested this again, using kernel 2.6.38-8-generic and I can confirm that my sound is now working with the .deb file in post #76. Only the mic is not working, it makes a crackling sound, I can hear my voice faintly but that's it. I can't use it for proper conversations. Is there

happened to me just now, using ubuntu 9.10. Just updated to kernel 2.6.31-19-generic... Not sure if that is why it happened, but all the notes are gone. Is there a way to recover them? I had some pretty important info on them... Thx! -- All sticky notes are erased when out of disk space
