Version 3.1.1 is already in Maverick. Version 3.1.2 was released just
around feature freeze time, so while it's in Debian testing, it is not
yet synced to Ubuntu. I'll add a separate bug report about it.

Binary package hint: syslog-ng
Syslog-ng 3.1.2 was released beginning August. It has many bugfixes from
different Linux distributions applied by upstream. A Debian testing package is
available: http://packages.qa.debian.org/s/syslog-ng.html
For a detailed changelog, please
Created a lucid-backports request at https://bugs.launchpad.net/lucid-

I think, that this bug should be closed, as Maverick already has syslog-
ng 3.1.X, and requesting a backport for Lucid is a separate process.

Yes, it exists in 8.04. The problem is, that while the necessary kernel
modules are installed on the system, but they are missing from the
network installer. So in practice the network installer can't reach the
network.
I added the missing modules from another PPC installation to initrd.img,

Public bug reported:
Found in the daily snapshot of Ubuntu 7.04 from 1st February.
When Ubuntu is installed on a Pegasos, there is no bootmanager
installed, and no bootable kernel image is created. A a consequence, the
installed system can not be booted. An information page is showed to the
OK, starting a fresh install now.
Related question: are these problems related (Pegasos):
- EdUbuntu intall stops in the middle and the menu shows 'continue without a
boot manager'
- EdUbuntu install stalls in the middle of creating the LTSP chroot
environment, only the 'reset' button helps...
