OK, starting a fresh install now. Related question: are these problems related (Pegasos): - EdUbuntu intall stops in the middle and the menu shows 'continue without a boot manager' - EdUbuntu install stalls in the middle of creating the LTSP chroot environment, only the 'reset' button helps...
