I've just been using my pc normally for some java development (eclipse, jetty
etc.) and noticed my RAM usage was quite high, after closing everything it was
still at ~75% used. Open system monitor to find compiz with 3GB of RAM.

It seems to be on all applications and anywhere with text, it's hard to
tell without having a comparison. Nautilus looks fairly normal, but it
may be something to do with the way that font is rendered compared to
others?

I first found that compiz would crash when using a display indicator
(Disper)
I have the same problem and I'm pretty sure it's related to compiz? Text
isn't rendered or as defined as it should be.

I'm having the exact same problems. Seems that all 8GB of my RAM was
gobbled during the bug reporting so was unable to send it.
