So, this is weird. It appears that my video card was overheating and
causing this issue. I I rolled back the security patch, no problem, I
guess the patch is causing higher video cpu? and causing the failing
card to fail when the patch it there. I installed a new card, and
reapplied the patches,
Yes, I restarted many times, I did not know what was causing the issue.
I went through the apt logs, saw the above updates, and renamed the
pulseaudio binary and the problem stopped. I then went into Synaptic and
rolled them and pinned back to the earlier version now no problem.

I just updated to 9.04, and kino is now refusing to encode in MP4. It
seems the new version of ffmpeg is not working with the older version
that comes with 9.04.
Please update with new kino package.

I have the one from Adobe installed, and the one from update
banned...note the -1 and -2 differences, I think there is something
different between the two?

When removing any and all packages with the name flash in it, then
installing from the Adobe site it installs adobe-flashplugin not
flashplugin-nonfree Which are different, so when the update occurs it
tries to update

It is not a duplicate. The package adobe-flashplayer is not the same as
what is distributed by Adobe. The Package is somehow newer. The older
package from Adobe works, the one in the updates does NOT. I can
