Scopes are not displaying just get the spinner and nothing happens.
If I open system setting from the launcher or an indicator it is just
white it's like something is critically not well on the image.

and that linked to the standard emulator bridge connect meaning you had
networking this is now not happening, I don't think it is network-
manager itself but possibly that the mock sim isn't being activated as

This has been the same menu since efi was entered making it harder and
harder to figure out what version of ubuntu is on the disk/pendrive
without firing it up further.
Simply adding Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Ubuntu 16.10 Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS etc
somewhere on this menu would save a lot of time and effort.
The issue I see seems to come from first searching for a section in
control panel. For example search for screen make a mod to the
resolution and then try and open system settings.

Right okay so the setup was this:
On kvm I install fedora on a full qcow2 hdd.
I then repartition it to create some free space as I didn't realise that fedora
uses lvm by default
In the free space I then install ubuntu
In EFI menu of uefi I now can boot from fedora or from ubuntu

I have confirmed that fedora 23 ubuntu 16.04 side by side works as
expected.
I believe the cause is that all ubuntu installs share a common path to
file ie /boot/EFI/ubuntu/shim. where as Fedora is at
