Please people while you see this same error message that does not imply
that it is indeed the same root cause. This just means that PulseAudio
crashes, however the reason this happens is typically that the sound
card driver is buggy so in fact you only can be sure that you are
affected by this bug
I found that while this was broken early in the natty cycle now it
actually works, so for the first time since Lucid I can now use my usb
cd/dvd drive.

When using my USB Ralink wifi dongle I am seeing an occasional but
fairly easy to trigger crash. Basically all one has to do is plug it in,
use the network connection and wait. It will crash, maybe it will take
minutes, maybe it survives a day but eventually it will crash.

I did however it does not seem likely that Ubuntu will do the
responsible thing and revert the rgba and csd features from the master
repo and do testing in a ppa till a medium of usability is reached like
during Lucid so it is sadly important to list every single application
they utterly broke.
Also happens for me here using a usb connected harddrive. This really is
annoying since my local storage isn't all that impressive I rely on
having a lot of things including packages for such things as the Fluendo
codec pack and World of Goo.

I don't disagree that this is a desirable outcome, however I don't think
Ubuntu us yet at a place where we can assume that we are flawless enough
to get to a desktop without a fallback. At least for the pre-RC
development releases it would be nice to have some kind of more obvious
go to safe mode

Incredibly there is an update and it is even labelled Linux. There is no
Changelog so far as I can see so I don't know if it addresses the issue.
I've flashed the machine and will follow up once I have tried to trigger
the problem.
I've been looking at this as a means of relearning some programming.
However it seems that Tasque uses the notification area icon to also do
configuration and display standard About information. As these are not
as far as I can tell recommended to have in the Application Indicator
entries a proper

On Lucid using Banshee 1.6.0 both my Sansa Fuze and my Nokia N900
correctly show up any SD card plugged into them. Is it possible for for
you to test using a Lucid Beta 1 LiveCD (Banshee should install in such
an environment for testing purposes) ?
