That mean your disk haven't partitions.
If you have new disk (or you don't worry about data on this disk) you can make
filesystem on disk using fdisk&mkfs.vfat or gparted. A
Run `sudo fdisk -l /dev/hdd', see the System field and use mount command
with -t option and filesystem name followed.
For example, if disk filesystem type is msdos (fat16/fat32/vfat), use the
following command:
sudo mount -t msdos /dev/hdd /mnt

In your dmesg i found the "[17179575.192000] hdd: LS-120 VER5 00 UHD Floppy,
ATAPI FLOPPY drive" string. This is mean your drive is found and work as
/dev/hdd.
Strings like "[17179604.64] hdd: No disk in drive" talk about access to
device without superdisk.
