I was pleasantly surprised to find Lucid closed down normally after two

I've been having similar problems after an upgrade, specifically no
wired connections can be managed in nm-configuration-editor.
I found that by removing old (stale) config information
from /etc/network/interfaces and rebooting nm-configuration-editor

There's something strange going on here. I have been using the same
script (acerfand) and investigated further with modifications to the
script. The script ran fine in Intrepid, but in Jaunty when you hit the
final exit 0 in rc.local, it exits acerfand as well. acerfand traps
this exit, and I used

I can confirm that when changing kaffeine to use 'alsa' instead of
'auto' (pulseaudio) as suggested, I no longer observe the problem. There
is a bit of delay between hitting the pause button and it actually
pausing, presumably due to the length of the audio buffer, but this is

I've just had the same problem trying to get my wife's account to auto-
connect to wireless- the workaround works, but logging into my account,
Network Manager does not appear in the tray, although there is a
connection.

toolbar sometimes brings up the create new bookmark dialogue or the edit
bookmark dialogue, rather than dropping the Bookmarks menu. Hitting the

I have observed the same bug. Clicking Bookmarks brings up the Page
Bookmarked dialogue occasionally instead of the drop-down menu. In
addition, I've seen the 'Edit Bookmark' dialogue appear. Clicking
History has also resulted in going one page back (which is the first
item in the drop-down menu

Kernel parameters in /boot/grub/menu.1st are

I thinks this is purely xen specific xencons=off is explicitly killing the
console.
