It was a problem back then, because I wanted to preview that true type
font during design using gnome-font-viewer.
Nowadays gnome-font-viewer doesn't seem to be part of gnome anymore;
doubleclicking a ttf font icon doesn't start an associated application

Gutsy beta was installed last week
I just updated all the packages - and the problem still occurs.
This time it happened when moving totem to the right (making compiz slide to
the next desktop)

I rebooted my machine, and alas, the problem is still there; so sorry about my
preceding message.
I tried it with Desktop Effects turned off, and then there's no flickering
anymore on fullscreen view with EOG.
I guess the flickering must compiz related.
Furthermore: When Totem Movieplayer is put

I am using a fully updated gutsy beta version.
When I am watching pictures fullscreen (F11), and the button-bar on top starts
fading out, the whole screen starts to flicker (black-picture-black-etc), at
about the vertical refresh frequency. Running Desktop Effects and my LSP
I can confirm on this. The lower panel is not directly visible after
system startup. I installed Gutsy beta two days ago, did an apt-get
dist-upgrade, and since then this problem occurs.

I continued working on my font however, and now that more glyphs have
been added (attachment), the app doesn't crash anymore. I do consider
the failing of gnome-font-viewer to report anything as a bug, however.

Got this error just by double-clicking an *.ogg file.
I can open this file only by right-clicking and selecting a program from the
list; for instance "open with movie player"

been inserted) makes gnome-font-viewer hang. I get a 99% processor activity,
but no window is shown and no output of error messages on the console. The app
