Let me summarize a bit those synaptics devices that have this issue, the
model, firmware, id, caps info were extracted from relevant BootDmesg
files that I could find on launchpad:

different. gvim _can_ display GB18030, the problem is really it has
moved to use utf-8 internally, and guessing the encoding before read it
in according to the list of fileencodings.

Well, I'd say an ideal solution would be for gedit to detect the
encoding by itself, and thus avoid all these tricky configurations. I've
experimented a bit with universalchardet, which comes with Mozilla
project, and its separate library libuchardet. I found it to be smart
enough in most cases.

receive the method call return from GVFS Daemon (gvfsd) after sent

Simply performing bccmd in the bluetooth init script might not be a good
idea, as it's not applicable to other bluetooth modules. One reliable
way is to keep it in the udev rules. I used the rules below which is
working for me:

On Dove-DB, two new kernel command line options are introduced in LSP
5.3.3:
lcd0_clk and lcd1_clk, they have to be initialized to either 1 - for
internal clock, 2 - for external clock #0, 3 - for external clock #1

Tested on Lucid, kernel kexec works. but mounting root file system
failed. I think kexec function is ok in Lucid kernel.
Some of the kexec patches are not merged, esp. those L2 disabling
ones. Check the latest mailing
