Martin, thanks, but no thanks. There are other backup software around, and if this one was already removed, this bug should be closed as WONTFIX, AIUI. I don't have the permission for that, though. -- hurestore will always crash on startup (unfinished tool) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/64594

[Bug 95368] Re: Cannot remove directory on unmount due to stale .hal-mtab entries

I found this report by googling, having this problem with an up to date Hardy box. I have this issue for quite a long time, don't really remember since when. My .hal-mtab file is attached, and moving it to .bak makes the warning disappear. The new .hal-mtab created is equal to the old one, except

[Bug 150187] Re: [gutsy] [regression] Evince has very bad quality when printing pdf files.

2009-03-19 Thread Felipe Figueiredo
It looks from the patch that it requires cairo 1.8.2, so it would require a non-trivial backport for both hardy and intrepid. Could someone who actually understands it confirm this, and decide if this blocks an eventual SRU? ** Summary changed: - [gutsy] [regression] Evince has very bad quality

2009-02-26 Thread Felipe Figueiredo
For the record, TJ also gave me more tips on IRC: since it looks like a conflict between the onboard video adapter (intel) and the external pci-e adapter (nvidia), check for BIOS video configuration. I found it, and it was checked to auto. After reset BIOS to factory defaults, I chose the PCI-e

Also, not only /var didn't get mounted, all non-root filesystems didn't. This includes /home (also lvm) and /boot (non-lvm). I'm guessing this is because of script crashes in the init process due to the bug. -- BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325238
