@racb, this bug is fixed in the sense that I found the appropriate
patches missing from bind9, and the staging version that @tjaalton built
and uploaded stops the crashes.

filesystems on RAID1, if there were actual disk issues this could
completely destroy a system, the complete opposite of what RAID is
supposed to do!

New crazy thing I just experienced!
I woke the system from suspend (which I had suspended from the key
combination), 20-30 seconds later, the screensaver did it's lock thing
(while I was using the machine, it wasn't idle), I hit a key, it lit up
and I typed in my password, 30 seconds later again,

Now, the keyboard backlight is completely off on cold boot, the function
