I have been experiencing this issue as well. I can manually configure
OpenVPN via the /etc/openvpn/ directory without issue.

I downloaded the beta and then the problems started I am hoping for a
fix in the updates - will this happen ?
I am not really sure how the fixes work - Will I have to re-install
