It is possible to enable autologin in kdm-kde4 by invoking kde systemsettings with 'sudo /usr/lib/kde4/bin/systemsettings'. However, autologin doesn't work: when I enable autologin I just get a 'login failed' message when kdm starts. -- kde-4.0.3 breaks auto-login

I think the problem is with the minimum height of the lower part of the screen (info widget, connection statistics etc.), which seems to change - if I enlarge the height of the upper part of the window (the torrent list) and shrink it again, the minimum height of the info widget has become
