Public bug reported:
After issuing a software reboot, the machine hangs at a black screen
after the grub prompt, before the kernel boots. This lasts at least five
minutes, with the processor fans spun all the way up. If I remove quiet
and nosplash there is no text, the screen is completely black.
(And BTW I found you can still set this stuff from the app; after you
add files there's a 'filter' thing at the bottom left; when opened
there's an 'options' button).
Is there a way to find out what command line is sent to genisoimage
when it's run by brasero (I guess you could make a python wrap
With auto-hide turned off I'm seeing the same increase you describe,
from switching workspaces (I'm using Ambiance). Will try Finery.

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to burn symlinks, but there it is:
there needs to be an -f option to genisoimage or you get a symlink (or
nothing) instead of the file. I did a test with brasero and I got the
file rather than the link.
Take a look in the gconf-editor, under apps/brasero/filter.
I'm seeing a severe memory leak in wnck-applet (and gnome-panel, too)
related to auto-hide.
If I set 'autohide' property in the bottom panel (it has the default
stuff on it but I have widened it to 48 pixels), then *each* hide
operation adds about 2 MB to wnck-applet, and likewise each 'show' adds
