to get rid of that damned caps lock key. Since upgrading to 11.04 this

the ia32-libs package. It seems as if programs like
/usr/lib32/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0
erroneously load further libraries such as
/usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/load
Yup, seems so. Bibble5 starts as a 32-bit program and uses it's only Qt
libraries that it brings with. These start to load 32bit gtk stuff from
/usr/lib32 , which then somewhere loads from /usr/lib/gtk-2.0 and thus
starts using 64 bit libraries.
I still see
4126 open("/usr/lib32/libgtk-x11-2.0.
Is anyone out there taking any notice of this bug?

the unity launcher, solved this as well: the package libdconf0 was

Hi,
there's a bug in the mapping of geotiff images as backgrounds
(misalignment, shearing, wrong scaling).
The bug has been fixed in the 0.17 version. Would be nice to have an
updated package. :-)

Just had a chat with one of the maintainers.
It happend with a particular file, which is
ftp://ftp.remotesensing.org/geotiff/samples/misc/tjpeg.tif
qlandkartegt remembers the file of the most recently opened file and
reopens it on startup. So if that file kills the program, it will kill
it again
I just compiled qlandkartegt version 1.0, and ran into the same problem.
So maybe it is a problem of the qt library itself?

Hi,
the current ubuntu version of qlandkartegt starts only as long as no
data have been under work. Once it has seen it's first map, it
immediately crashes after start (obviously because of bugs in the
graphic routines) with the error messag
Sorry, no idea, haven't tried again. Due to other problems I am
installing my virtual machines by booting from a regular ubuntu CDROM
(image).
However, ubuntu should be able to install on virtual disks to prepare
virtual machines.

since my upgrade to ubuntu 10.10 I have no audio output device anymore.
Neither System->Preferences->Sound, nor alsamixergui detects a an output
capable sound card (just input).

BTW, even if you use ufraw, you can still speed up things by factor
5..10 if you use a faster interpolation method, e.g. bilinear. Since you
are scaling down the image anyway for the generation of the previews,
the interpolation method does not really matter, so use the fastest one.

evolution has an option to add a google calendar, which worked with
10.04.
Now I've upgraded to 10.10 and I can't add a google calendar anymore
(fetching the available calendars for selection still works), simply
because I can't press the
