daily build fails to boot after installing the proprietary nvidia
driver. A parallel install of the same daily build, only x86, is not

My graphics card (Zotac GT430 (GF108 chip)) is apparently not

Using gnome-tweak-tool makes the keyboard switched using XKB, which isn't quite
good. Currently Ubuntu relies on iBus, if i'm not mistaken? Therefore the
gnome-tweak-tool workaround is not OK, as the indicator doesn't notice any

It works fine if I switch layout with XKB hotkey.
However, it doesn't work if I switch using the indicator (which utilises iBus,

I am also affected by this bug. At start up I get the message
udevd[135] inotify_add_watch (6, /dev/dm-0, 10) no such file or
directory. I have a fake raid which is probably causing the problem. I
also put this in my /etc/rc.local to discover and activate my raid
disks: sudo dmraid -r, sudo
I would not advocate buying this laptop if you plan to install Ubuntu.
On my system I am running 3.10.0-031000rc5-generic. I find the 20
minute boot problem only happens about 50% of the time rather than 95%

Things stopped working for me.
It turned out that I pasted that fix into the wrong section of grub.cfg and
actually the computer was just working by magic (or whatever makes it sometimes
start up right away). Anyhow after playing around with some settings
(installing and removing bumblebee and
Tom. Thanks for the pointer, but I'm not seeing that option.

I think some form of icon hover state (perhaps saturating, lightening,
or changing the background glow graphic) would be in order. Did the
design team specifically vote against this, or has it just never come
up? Highlighting controls when hovered is so common in computing (and
indeed, in Ubuntu)

unmaximize to original proportions, but rather detach from the top panel
without changing size.

Launcher - [Regression] launcher tooltip delay got lost with the big
This is a show stopper. You cannot deal with the UI. I just updated to
the latest nightly (package says bzr3163) and I now have no panels. I
tried to manually launch unity (sudo and not, via ctrl-alt-t to get
terminal) and it spits out unity-panel-service: no process found.
What else can I do to
Just pulled in bzr 3164. It exits more cleanly when I try to launch
unity on top if itself, but unity-panel-service is still missing.

12.04.1 but could be patched now. I've seen no update/response since...
