I had problems with Wifi after suspending. Try this after resuming to
see if it helps:
sudo killall wpa_supplicant
wpa_supplicant will respawn.
If it works you can automate this for every suspend by creating a file
such as: /etc/pm/sleep.d/99fixwifi.sh

This seems to make sense to me to move Pulseaudio to start after HAL.
Of course PulseAudio then needs to give feedback to HAL after it creates
new sound offerings. I can see how others might have thought HAL should
be second, but it's clear that PulseAudio needs HAL to detect the raw

This is an important issue for large scale deployments. Our deployment

You might check to see how the swapfiles are started. In the old LTSP

Well I've often thought about hibernating servers in the evening to save on

This morning one of my users selected Hibernate from their Log Off... screen

I go to the ltsp server and it's powered down.
Powering it back up worked, but I can confirm
To summarize:
There seems to be three general ideas for fixing vnc4server on Ubuntu.
1. -extension XFIXES (an addition to Xvnc execution)
2. Fixing the Font Path
3. Compiling against the newer version of Xorg.

1. -extension XFIXES (an addition to Xvnc execution)

My configs were working under Edgy (6.10).
Now after fresh install I can't get gq to connect to our LDAP server.
Background. Our LDAP server is running on an old Mandrake 9.1 machine.
It likely does not support TLS connections. I usually refer to it by it's IP
address.

So will the font issue get updated into an updated Ubutnu package?

vnc4server does not start
This is most likely a problem with /etc/vnc.conf not having some sane
defaults. Maybe the problem is that vncserver and vnc4server can both
be installed at the same time.
I'm looking into this further. Maybe we can patch /etc/vnc.conf from
vnc4-common package.

I tried adding

I am in favor of seeing RealVNC moved to becoming the default program
