Could this possibly be a bug in pulse audio or related to it? As I see
it, Warsow itself does not use any pulse audio libraries, but only sdl
(which seems to be the case here) and/or openal. All the traces point to
/usr/lib/libpulse.so.0 though ...

value? Might it be possible that it points to some no more existing
sound server and thus causes the game to hang? Anyways, I am not too
sure whether this is a Warsow problem or a SDL problem after all.
