More info - using banshee etc. is not 100% stable. It will go for long
periods without a problem, then I will get it so it only lasts a minute
or two each time. Not sure what the trigger is. Sometimes fusesmb is
eating 100% CPU and has to be kill -9'd as nothing else will make it go

I believe this was due to having installed a more recent version of
Twisted than the packaged version in 8.04. I had similar failures in
the end for all the python-twisted packages. I had to manually delete
existing files before the packages would install.

Having logged out and logged back in, I re-intalled the .debs for gs-
gpl. I can't remove gs-esp without causing a real headache in the
package manager. I then fired up kghostview and in the options changed
the setting for the interpreter from gs to gs-gpl. kghostview
renders the file as

Same crash occurred when opening the file with the Greyscale setting
still active. Also identical crash occurs trying to open the same file
with flpsed.
I can't post the EPS file here, but I could share it with a developer if
you provide a contact.
