[Bug 351080] Re: Glyphs drop out when bold attribute applied

2009-03-31 Thread John Jason Jordan
OK, I installed Fontforge and did some checking. All of the faces I cited do have all four standard fonts (regular, italic, bold, bold- italic). However, they all have exactly the same number of glyphs for each of the four fonts. Furthermore, I have numerous other fonts installed on my computer

I can now confirm the following: It does not happen just with Junicode. It happens with Bitstream Charter and Sans, FreeSans and FreeSerif, Liberation Sans and Serif, Linux Libertine, Nimbus Sans and Serif, and Verdana. And it does not happen just with bold, it also happens with italic and

Public bug reported: In AbiWord, KWord, Scribus or OOo 3.0.1 start a new blank document and paste in the following text: Linguists need combining diacriticals in order to type something like [bɪt͡ʃ]. Now apply Bold attribute to the line. The IPA characters in the last word will drop out. For

Aethralis, Please look at your results for Liberation again. I just tried both Sans and Serif and the characters did not drop out. However, the three glyphs (026A, 0361 and 0283) changed to a different font when I applied bold. You can see that they are a different font because the characters are

I hate to add a me too, but ME TOO. Without a way to configure the services I can't even find out if a service is actually running or running the way it needs to. My bluetooth headphones worked perfectly in Hardy, but ever since I upgraded to Intrepid a month ago I can't get a peep out of them. I

I've just been bitten by this yet again. I have been struggling with this for a long time: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=457135 This time the kernel upgrade changed everything to a UUID that was listed in #kopt, ignoring the setting in #groot. I have the Grub manual and other

First, it's rated medium because it doesn't affect very many of us. Another reason it's not rated higher is because there is a workaround. The workaround is to edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. Add noapic acpi=off to the end of the root line. You can do this while booting just by hitting e when
