Xen, but I'm just grasping at straws.
The software and configurations are identical on the m1.large and
m2.xlarge for this class of servers.

When I click the system menu in the top right corner of Unity and then
click "Lock", the buttons don't always work. I can type my password and
hit enter, which works as expected and unlocks the screen. However, the
majority of the time the buttons "Switch user..." and "Unlock"
I also get this error (raring kubuntu). Commented line 374 and it
starts, then when I just tried to start the daemon (which wasn't
running) I got:

Good call, @maarten-fonville! I am also using two-factor authentication.
I'm not going to disable it to test. I have not noticed or checked
whether the problem occurs without two-factor authentication.

Stuck at "Saving installed packages..." when using a custo
This bug still exists as of 13.04. I'm simply installing to / on a hard
drive that hard a partial 13.04 install and many applications so I don't
want to format.

Just wanted to mention that I ordered a new 512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD,
for my ThinkPad X220, in anticipation of installing 13.04 from scratch.
And I can confirm what everyone else is saying.

I am also encountering this. Clean install Kubuntu 12.10. Install the
ttf-mscorefonts-extra by hand, accepted the EULA, etc. The fonts are
available for use on my system confirmed multiple ways. But I continue
to get this annoying notification that the install of it has failed.

This has affected me since Ubuntu 12.10 using side reveal. Currently
using 13.04 the frequency seems to have increased compared to 12.10. I
have not tested using corner reveal. Now it may take 30-40 attempts to
get the launcher to appear at times.

Currently the 4.0.1 libreoffice package is part of the daily ubuntu
builds. The package is at 4.0.2 fixing many bugs in the previous
version. This should be synced before the 13.04 freeze so Ubuntu doesnt
release with an outdated Liberoffice version.

I discovered this bug while trying to troubleshoot an issue why
unattended-upgrades wasn't installing packages on a lucid system.
Running 'unattended-upgrade --debug --dry-run` was showing the packages
being added to the blacklist. I eventually discovered having
"APT::Get::AllowUnauthenticated 1
