Ok, I got some new info on this bug.
I disconnected the battery and try to boot live USB, and it didn't shut

to keep using the laptop.
What c
I'm trying, but I can't get to save the logs before it shuts off, and I

Public bug reported:
Hi.
I have a dell latitude d620, the one with nvidia graphics card, and if I
use ubuntu 10.04 it works without problems... but if I try to boot or
install ubuntu 10.10, laptop will shut off after a random period of
time... sometimes it doesn't even come to desktop, sometimes
ok... all this workarounds and install I've seen so far tells me that I
would have to rebuilt the driver from source... which avoiding that is
the reason I am using ubuntu (I used to have fedora)... I love when plug
in and just works
what surprises me, is that my webcam (genius eye 110) works
