I would deny, that this is a problem of a fresh installation!
This machine, where it happened, was installed in 2012 and got regulary
updates.
Maybe this behaviour is also on fresh installed machines, but it seems
that something other blocks --> and then you get this...

This workaround works *ONLY* for USERs, not for Guests!
So my Internet Café machine which i upgraded to 14.04 (Trusty) is useless cause
nobody wants to work with this.
The people who use these machine are only guests, and have no account/login.
I hope this will fixed for the next Firefox version

upgrading from 12.04.5 to 14.04.1:
It is a known problem (http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Firefox/Tipps)
and can solved by this:
- open about:config
- search for gfx.xrender.enabled
--> change to false
BUT:
This is ONLY working for USER
I know Walter, but the Ubuntu team itself made the decision - and we users have
to live with that, what we've got:
- crash reports in /var/log
- no (automatic) upload to Launchpad
I will do a upgrade within the next weeks to Trusty, so i hope than it's gone
(test machine looks good).

The jobs work now without problems and as expected.
I alos got no no second printer to choose
While i tried to disable the printer queue i run through the
"troubleshoot scenery" and got this troubleshoot.txt

On my machine, where i work and the printer is *not* attached:
/etc/cups/ppd$ ls -Al
insgesamt 0
Printing from LibreOffice gave me a strange error window but worked perfect, no
error about printer missing or something.
The log from /var/log/cups/error_log is attached.

and tried to jump backwards, waited for some seconds (but nothing changed) so i
closed VLC.

My Xubuntu installation was a standard installation and i got Alacarte
and MenuLibre.
