official package name so that I can add that

In versions of Ubuntu prior to 16.04, you could install openVPN like this:
sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn
In Ubuntu 16.04, you install it like this:
sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn-gnome
In versions of Ubuntu prior

In versions of Ubuntu prior to 16.04, you could install vpnc like this:

Sometimes it boots, and sometimes I get the Kernel Panic. I'd say it boots once
out of every 4 tries with the latest kernel:

While attempting to install Ubuntu from one Live Thumb Driver to another
blank thumb drive the installer crashed. I happened after I had set my
username and password, and probably sometime during the copying of
files.
