I also have the Thomson NEO10 netbook (Atom-z8350) and struggled to find
a Linux where sound would work, after getting everything to work fairly
well. I eventually found that sound works in Ubuntu 19.10 with Kernel
5.3, anything lower (19.04, Mint 19.3) had the issue. It seems kernel
5.3

Same here in Feb 2017, after upgrade to ubuntu 17.10, the anki sync
doesn't work using the synaptic package manager version. However the
version anki-2.0.47 from the anki website works well. I just uninstalled
from the ubuntu package manager and installed the one from the website
instead.

Mysterious
Daniel, I know it's been some time since we've commented on this and I
just wanted to come back and comment again about the status of all of
this. This graphical issue is still occurring and like you, it happens
when I resize the window with the cursor (click/hold/drag to desired
size).
