I have an Epson Perfection 3170 on a 64 bit box, not currently working.
Can test if someone is working on a way to make this scanner Ubuntu-
compatible. iscan is supposed to work but that's only on 32 bit arch.

Bug definitely still exists in Hardy (on amd64 arch in this case).
Workaround given in

me. I set up a custom key mapping, same as default key mapping but
minus the media keys, and it just started working.

If the package maintainer would simply pull v2.2.8 from upstream, life
would be much easier in Ubuntuland for all of us cfengine users.
And remember, one cfengine user usually equates to dozens or hundreds of
computers, so this bug is impacting quite a lot of systems.

Running feisty on Thinkpad T40 with 2.6.20-16-generic kernel. Trying to
connect to a known-good access point with WEP encryption. Having many
problems with the ipw2100 driver on this host. Cannot typically
associate to the WAP. If I mess around enough to get it to associate,
dhclient doesn't
