I have a Samsung X65 laptop running Karmic, everything seems to work OK
except for a few of the special blue Fn keys, specifically the battery
status, screen switch, and the Samsung special "Magic Doctor" and speed
control keys. Running xev, the keys
no luck with the fan was not much dust on it, the only difference i have
noticed is my laptop is a lot quiter, but still getting reboots awaiting
any more suggestions now i have run out of ideas for now.

okay i have been through ubuntu 8.10 9.04 and 9.10 live cds i have done
a minimal install added the nvidia drivers and tried a few 3d games all
have resulted in a reboot the wierd thing is that i am sure i have
played games on this machine previously in linux, and windows xp works

Something I've discovered is that rebooting seems to help the problem
(i.e. the problem seems to develop over a period of time) and also
something strange...once the audio begins to start skipping horribly
with the Pulse plugin, I change back to the alsa plugin and that seems
to make things better.
I've been having this problem as well:

This appears to be a problem in the grub-pc package not placing the
resume=X clause into the boot path.
I've done this manually but not very cleanly into /etc/grub.d/10_linux
and after update-grub I can reboot from hibernate.
Recommend moving to grub-pc package.

Is there any progress on the Enterprise aspects of this bug? It seems
that NM is trying too hard and specifying more parameters than are
required in most cases by wpa_supplicant. Some method of not specifying
the phase2 authentication options would be very interesting to see as,

Attached a new cpuinfo file, the desktop machine was unavailable when I
generated the cpuinfo.txt so that came from an identical system running
Ubuntu 7.04 Server. The python run was performed on the desktop machine
that shows the problem.
Note, the problem exists only on the "System" tab, i.e. th

Eight CPUs are shown in resources tab but the initial state is for the
last four to all have the same colour (red).
