Since a few days, I have some problems suspending/resuming my EeePC:
- Hitting the suspend key (Fn+F1) does not always work. Sometimes, the mouse
freezes for a few seconds, and then my session just resumes.
- The shutdown option in the main menu is gone, I can only log off,
I have this problem since two days (Linux 2.6.31-10, upstart 0.6.3-3).
After ca. 10 of these STOP/CONT cycles the system finally reboots/shuts

After today's update of network-manager, the PAN connection works as
described in the link above. In fact, I am writing this on my Netbook,

Suspend-to-RAM, and Fn-F12 for Suspend-to-Disk (Hibernate). Since (at

I am now at 2.6.31-9 (-7 and -8 were well,too), and the cooling seems to
be fine now: At ca. 59°C, the fan starts running at a very slow speed.
This seems to be sufficient, I never saw it going beyond 65°C.
If noone else has any problems, it seems the bug is fixed.

I experienced the same just now, except that my secondary outout is a
bluetooth A2DP headset. After switching back and forth between internal
audio and the headset, and trying to adjust the volume, gnome-volume-
control crashed.

With the newest packages and KMS, the flickering with flash videos is
gone. The other problem with VDR seems to be related to VDR or libxine,
as I can reproduce it on a radeon-based system, too (or even with

noise from my speakers when no audio is being played.
It sounds similar to a camera flash charging, until after a few seconds,

The available DNS servers do not always have the same domain tree. In my
scenario above, both the company network and my home network have
private DNS entries (hence the .zz domain), which only the respective

I have the same problem here. I am running jaunty amd64 on a Gigabyte
GA-MA69GM-S2H mainboard (AMD 690G). With xserver-xorg-video-ati
(6.11.0+git20090310.945ccbbd-0ubuntu1) I get these random screen blanks
on my DVI output (the second VGA head is unaffected). Here, too, the

What a coincidence, I just had to work on my ppp connection yesterday (I
got a new modem), and I also noticed that this problem is still here.
I'm also running 8.04 i386 now.

Since a week or so, I noticed that it is more stable (the normal jaunty
packages). In the last few days (where I used suspend-to-RAM more
often), I did not notice any problems. I'll watch out for any
irregularities, but for now it seems to be fixed.
