/etc/X11/Xsession.options. gnome-keyring-deamon is however running,
Hi ^_Pepe_^ and Azzeddine. The HW is as far as I can tell identical to
mine. The only thing that might differ (that I can think of could be
relevant) is that my machine has several systems installed in various
partitions. I.e. two Ubuntu installations (9.05 and 10.04) and the
original Windows

Hi, this is still an issue for me. I also tried Lucid recently, but the
bug is still there.
Additional information:
* Upgraded BIOS to latest official version which supports VT (R2169M3c)
* Carefully avoiding fb drivers (via blacklisting in /etc/modprobe.d/ and via
kernel options)

first just in case):
killall amarokapp
killall dcopserver
cd .kde/
find . -iname
I have the same problem and I tried to follow the suggestions here
without success :(
I did however find another solution that works though:

- Just install the lineakd package
- run the lineakd in a

Yes, this was my conclusion also.
As I recall it (i could remember it wrong so better double check this)
the nvidia variant of libGL.so is not compatible with DRI. I.e. other

This bug (or a varint of it) is still around (I'm using Ubuntu 6.06
LTS).
I wasn't able to enable DRI for i915 despite all the hints available
until I stumbled across this thread and repeated some of the
experimentation's that Ariel did. This solved my issue, and it possibly
also provides a hint
