displaying a window to the user instead of popping up a useless
notification using the notifications system. The notification is there
to enable the user to quickly skip the current item, as well as notify

Oops. Apparently I didn't do the control.in file, and my changes kept
getting overriden. Here the one that was used to build for PPA, with an
adjusted version number to be properly included for Hardy.
Don't have Intrepid installed, and there is bound to be changes that are
additional for it;
It would seem that the version that I put together was using the
_previous_ released version that I had already on my computer.
This patch is based on the version currently in Hardy as the latest
available. A binary build of it is in my PPA, with the ~ppa1 package
version suffix.

The reason that window decorations are apparently added in gkrellm's
default mode would appear to be because of the workarounds for Compiz
that had to be implemented, which changed the way windows are handled

Alltray, Beryl, Feisty - Shows window but leaves it underneath all other windows

I'm not able to reproduce the issue that you're having, with a newer
build of AllTray. Could you try the build of Alltray which appears to
fix 106583 (in my PPA for the Hardy release, the package version is
0.69-1ubuntu2~ppa1) and let me know if you still experience the issue?

KControl breakes konsole used with alltray
Is this still a problem with Hardy Heron, or with the testing package
available on https://edge.launchpad.net/~mtrausch/+archive for the Hardy
release? I've attempted to duplicate it there, but am not able to do
so; when I minimize the window and then click my tray icon, the window
comes back
