then went through the updates to 10.11, 11.04 now 11.10

my prob is my software center has an 'updating changes' stuck at half way
my system won't let me report as it says my ubuntu is not genuine
what is this, windows... lol

I fixed it...
searched 'ubuntu software center' for 'multiplier'
found 'userful-multiplier'
removed it
no more install errors

I close it
then the package shows as installed works
started 2 days after installing 10.4
has continued trough the updates to 10.10, 11.4 and now 11.10
