up to the devede menu and edited my preferences to:

I had the same problem with writer. I tried all the suggestions above
and none worked.
I did some digging around and in '~/.openoffice.org/3/user' found the
file 'registrymodifications.xcu'. Looking inside it, it seemed to
contains the name of the document I was editing etc.
So I renamed it to
Actually now that I've disabled desktop effects my problem has been
resolved.

easy to reconfigure this, in fact it's one of the first things I change
after an install. The fact remains that the "expected behaviour" for

patched fresh install of 9.04 (final release). This occurs only during system

the assigning of a static IP.

Well, open Abiword, choose the menu item Insert, then choose Page Numbers...,
then choose Help on the small window which opens. I then get the incorrect
path msg from Firefox.

I would have thought that a non-functioning help component within a
major application, delivered via a very recent distribution would have
raised some flags by now.
If I can fix this myself please give me the instructions. A newbie
here, but not afraid to follow clear instructions.
