Firefox is the wrong package. Things like apt are affected too. I tried adding ipv6 to the modules blacklist and rebooting, but it still occurred. /etc/resolv.conf is correct. tcpdump shows no request for IPv6 records and shows the DNS server responding quickly. Possibly even a network

Same issue for me on a clean install of Gutsy RC after installing the nvidia nonfree driver (which automatically enabled Compiz). I'm hooked on Alt+Tab and Alt+Shift+Tab, so it would be great for this to work for the Gutsy release. Obviously the workaround is to disable Compiz visual effects.
