Wine applications
As an experiement I've changed the apps place to use relevancy ranking
instead of alphabetic sorting for searches. When there is no search we
still list alphabetically of course. Modulo stopwords[1] I think this
works very well - a lot better than the current approach at least.

The latest Zeitgeist releases 0.7.0 doesn't fox this. There is a chance
that 0.8 might fix it, but the code has not landed in ZG trunk yet, so
there is no guarantee.

So my box has SSD and runs the latest Zeitgeist which is 0.7.0 which is

1) zeitgeist-daemon is not running - in this case you should be able
to see some messages about this on stdout if you run the apps place
daemon manually
2) It's a bug in Unity's rendering layer - in this case you need

Michael Vogt pinged me about this bug, so just chiming in here for
completeness.
I'm pretty sure this wont cause problems for Unity. The one place that
comes to mind is when launching s-c to install an app from the
Availabale group in the apps place. In that case we fire off 'software-
center

the design team on this

In the original mockups for the dash you'd get results from the gnome
control center capplets when searching from the home screen. Ie.
displaying 3 not 2 groups of search results: Applications, Files, and
Control Center
The unity-applications-daemon is more or less ready to deliver these
