Update: This issue does not appear to be limited to Thunderbird/Enigmail, but seems to be related to gnupg in some general way. I cannot sign or encrypt messages using Seahorse and gedit. As a temporary fix, I'm going to restore my Feisty installation from backups and wait until the stable
