Same problem with Kile. Went to Settings Configure Kile Editor:
Open/Save Advanced and changed the suffix of Backup on save from ~
to BACKUPONSAVE.
That cured the problem for me. I mean it's a workaround, not a clean

I have the same problem, although in my case, it happens at EVERY boot.
I get the One or more mounts in /etc/fstab cannot yet be mounted with several
line of waiting (one for each partition at least), exactly like peterzay
described.
In my optinion, it is a bug for two reasons:
1) The
I have exactly the same problem. It happens to me at every boot. I have
checked that the ouput of a blkid command is the same as the content
of my /etc/fstab so it would be nice to know what is causing the bug.
Also, it gives me the opportunity to press ESC to access a recovery
shell, which then

Same problem with me. Running Jaunty with Nvidia driver 180.
In Kile, disabling Dynamic word wrap stopped messing the noise in editor
window, and the display bugs that also affected the menus in Kile.
