I suppose you can close the bug: I created another user on my system. In
that account, firefox didn't crash. Back in my regular account, I
deleted ~/.mozilla/firefox. Firefox crashed again. I deleted the whole
~/.mozilla directory. That did the trick: firefox now works without
crashes.

I uninstalled all extensions, but result is still exactly the same.
In a terminal:
$ firefox
Firefox starts, I type standaard.be in the address bar and press enter.
The page starts to load, then the window disappears and a message is
displayed in the terminal:
The program 'Gecko' received an X

I already had firefox-dbg installed when I created the gdb log. Also,
there's nothing in /var/crash.
I have attached a new gdb log, this time with a breakpoint on
gdk_x_error as per the instructions in the previous log; I hope it is
more informative.

Firefox crashes every time I try to open http://standaard.be (even from
a newly created profile). The page starts to load, but then suddenly
firefox stops.
