First edit the /etc/hinfo.conf file with:
sudo gedit /etc/hinfo.conf
Make sure the lines that have:
use /var/lib/hinfo/dnsbl.ins.pl;
use /var/lib/hinfo/whois.ins.pl;
are not commented out.
close that file.
Edit the /var/lib/hinfo/dnsbl.ins.pl with:
sudo gedit /var/lib/hinfo/dnsbl.ins.pl

gdesklets doesn't start

I just now added python 2.4 (the default right now is 2.5) and I get a little
different error. Hope this helps.
#gdesklets
Starting gdesklets-daemon...
Connected to daemon in 409 milliseconds.
The work-around is to reset the toolbar to default then re-customize it.
I confirm this bug upon the latest update to Kontact 1.99 KDE 3.59 on
Ubuntu 8.04. It's more of an annoyance to me, however technically I
guess it *is* a bug.

Kontact toolbar messed up when using ActionList
Just confirming AMD64 Gutsy that the following fixes the issue?
replace the pam configuration in /etc/pam.dvmware-authd with:
auth sufficient /usr/lib/vmware-server/lib/libpam.so.0/security/pam_unix.so
shadow nullok
auth required /usr/lib/vmware-server/lib/libpam.so.0/security/pam_unix_auth.so
OK,
(Please note the corrected path here - /etc/pam.d/vmware-authd instead of
/etc/pam.dvmware-authd)
I went for it and I too confirm that the below fixes it on AMD64 Gutsy:
replace the pam configuration in /etc/pam.d/vmware-authd to read:
auth sufficient
