1. Install gamix from ubuntu software center (it doesn't let to do that from
terminal).
2. Launch program. Change from dropbox menu from external mic to internal mic
and close apllication
3. Try skype or something else, it should work now

Same laptop HP Pavilion, same problem. I've installed fresh copy of

I confirm that solution #103 works for me too on HP DV6. Big thanks to
'quirks' and all of you. Now only left to get SD card 5in1 and s video

Please read all of the replies and you will find the temporary solution.
This one seems to work for me, but you shouldn't touch your on/off
button otherwise this will mess it up your mouse/keyboard functionality.
Run the terminal and paste this:
gconftool-2 --set --type boolean

After fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 x64 LTS (final), I found that ubuntu
one client doesnt work at all. Although I managed to link my ubuntu one
account and client window displayed my remaining storage space and
linked computer list,

I've also reinstalled all packages related to couchDB and ubuntuone
through sinaptic using search, but still the same. Also I've tried
deleting couchDB.ini file, but that didn't fix the problem.
