[Bug 1492608] Re: Pressure sensitivity broken in 15.04 (upstream fix available)

2017-07-19 Thread Scott Norris
As of 2017-07-02, the xournal maintainer is suggesting bugs be filed in distribution buglists, asking them to target the CVS repository instead of the latest version. https://sourceforge.net/p/xournal/bugs/182/ Tough situation. This is a nice piece of software, if only it were maintained. --

[Bug 570133] Re: Video playback timing is wrong when recording with --on-the-fly-encoding switch

2012-08-17 Thread Scott Norris
I also experienced this bug, but also think it may simply be due to hardware specs. On my machine, lowering the screen resolution before starting the record eliminates the problem (and, in addition, it saves me having to transcode before uploading the file somewhere). @Antonio: I think I've

[Bug 438868] Re: Numerous applications have focus issues after emerging from a screensaver or suspend

2011-03-28 Thread Scott Norris
Couple of comments: First, for me this always coincides with text in text-entry boxes auto- highlighting itself, so that subsequent keypresses erase what I have already typed. Second, when experiencing this bug, not only does the awesome bar fail to auto-complete; it also often drops letters if

[Bug 275762] Re: should detect that monitor was disconnected when waking from suspend

2010-04-09 Thread Scott Norris
Using Lucid beta1, I find that this occurs even if I explicitly divert the display *back* to the LCD before suspending. 1. Connect external monitor 2. Divert display to external monitor only 3. Divert display back to LCD 4. Suspend 5. Disconnect external monitor 5. Resume -- no display! --

[Bug 451248] Re: Can't load ishares.com

2010-04-09 Thread Scott Norris
This seems to be strictly an issue with ishares.com. If you use the firefox User Agent Switcher add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59 and pretend to be Internet Explorer, then the site renders fine. So evidently, ishares.com have some kind of browser-sniffing code in

[Bug 451248] [NEW] Can't load ishares.com

2009-10-14 Thread Scott Norris
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5 Attempts to reach ishares.com are redirected to isharesmobile.com. This could be a problem with the ishares website, but this works fine in Jaunty 32-bit on my laptop. I will also report the problem to ishares. ProblemType: Bug

[Bug 70247] Re: Thinkpad X60 bad battery life under 6.06

2007-04-30 Thread Scott Norris
The problem continues to persist in Feisty. The laptop runs hot -- almost too hot to use in one's lap, on occasion -- and the battery drains quickly. Note that mine is a core solo (I bought it days before the switch ...), and so the problem is not restricted to core duo processors. It's

Okay, me too! I've been pulling my hair out trying to get sound working using external 0.19 packages on dapper. It would be nice to know the packages I was using were supported in any way at all. I'd be happy to help with testing, too. -- Build (and include) mythtv-0.20 for Edgy
